In therapy, we are vulnerable. This feels scary at first. Being brave is a big first step towards taking control of how we feel. When we take healing action, we begin to believe in ourselves and that feels powerful.
I am a licensed therapist. I have many years of experience treating anxiety, depression, substance use and compulsive or addictive behaviors.

Being a therapist is a dream come true for me, though I didn’t always know I’d be doing this. Getting my undergraduate degree in French literature was my introduction into studying the human condition. I lived in France for several years following college and was fascinated by how life philosophy can differ so vastly between people. Teaching French showed me the importance of basic needs being met before higher order thinking can take place. Also, I saw that everyone is intrinsically motivated to learn and succeed when they see the value in it. I graduated with my Master’s in counseling in 2018 in large part, because I learned that I am passionate about getting to know people and helping them find the happiness and fulfillment we all deserve.
